We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: CKD Engineering Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type:  Full-time

Summary of Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and implementation of action plans to ensure completion and delivery dates are met, proper utilization of available human and material resources.
• Also responsible for enforcing rules and regulation and generally assists the H.O.D in the smooth running of the plant.

Main Functions

• Coordinate the Design and development, Production, Q.C, Production Control and Maintenance.
• Coordinates the development of new products, collection of customer requirement and converting into product specification ensuring that the required quality is achieved.
• Coordinates product performance review, follow up with corrective actions plans to resolve any issues related to quality, production, equipment, tooling, customer and production.
• Ensure that procurement plan is implemented and the items are supplied in the right quality.
• Evaluate and review engineering spares and consumable request and carrying out purchase plans according to the consumption rate.
• Drive continuous improvement and quality to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
• Manage factory/ engineering work load and advise the HOD when there is need to outsource and “make or buy” decisions. Assists the HOD in planning, co-ordination, execution of action plans, cost control, lean manufacturing and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering; preferably Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering. 7yrs in manufacturing. Min. of 3yrs management experience, with technical leadership skills for problem solving
• Extensive knowledge of engineering practices and principles, familiar scientific methods of problem solving. Good understanding of Lean six sigma and process improvement with minimum of LSSGB certification.
• Excellent Analytical skill and change management, Good knowledge of MS Office package, CAD system. Familiar with managing OEM. Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong prestation, written and verbal skills.
