Job Title: Fashion Designer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Core Responsibilities
Concept Development:

• Research current fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and styles
• Develop creative ideas and design concepts for collections
• Create mood boards and inspiration boards.

Design Creation:

• Sketch designs manually or using software like Adobe Illustrator or CLO 3D
• Select appropriate fabrics, colors, patterns, and trims
• Design clothing, accessories, or footwear.

Fabric & Material Selection:

• Source and choose textiles and materials
• Work with suppliers to get quality fabrics within budget
• 4. Pattern Making & Garment Construction
• Collaborate with pattern makers and tailors
• Oversee sample creation and fittings
• Make adjustments to improve fit and style.

Production Oversight:

• Ensure designs are produced accurately and on time
• Work with manufacturers and production teams
• Maintain quality control standards.

Trend Analysis:

• Monitor global fashion trends and consumer preferences
• Attend fashion shows, exhibitions, and trade fairs.

Brand Development:

• Maintain a consistent brand identity and style
• Contribute to marketing campaigns and lookbooks.

Client & Stakeholder Interaction:

• Work with clients for custom designs (if applicable)
• Collaborate with stylists, marketers, and photographers.

Budget & Cost Management:

• Manage design budgets
• Ensure cost-effective production without compromising quality.

Presentation & Showcasing:

• Present collections to stakeholders or at fashion events like Paris Fashion Week
• Organize or participate in fashion shows and exhibitions.
