Job Title: Head of Sales & Business Strategy

About the Job

  • We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Sales and Business Strategy with a strong background across FMCG and other sales-driven industries, including business development.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the organization’s sales function while also shaping and executing business growth strategies.
  • This role requires a commercially astute leader with proven expertise in field and territorial sales, distribution management, and business development, capable of overseeing multiple sales divisions, driving revenue growth, and improving overall sales effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated sales and business growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Lead long-term strategic planning to drive sustainable growth and market expansion.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to inform decision-making
  • Drive revenue growth across all sales channels and business units.
  • Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance benchmarks.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Optimize sales processes and improve overall sales efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a multi-level sales structure including Heads of department, line managers, and sales teams.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Oversee resolution of escalated client issues and strengthen client engagement.

Requirements / Desirables

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in sales and business development roles.
  • Strong background in FMCG and/or other high-growth, sales-driven industries.
  • Proven experience in field sales, territorial management, and distribution networks.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing business strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Experience managing large, multi-functional sales teams across regions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
