Role Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and leading the sales function at OneVERIFY Limited.
This role requires a strategic and results-oriented professional who can develop and execute sales strategies, manage client acquisition, and build a high-performing sales team.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting OneVERIFY’s digital identity and verification solutions while ensuring strong client relationships and consistent achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Business Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth.
Identify new market opportunities, sectors, and client segments for expansion.
Drive lead generation, pipeline development, and conversion strategies.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales initiatives with company offerings.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Identify, engage, and onboard new clients across public and private sectors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Understand client needs and position OneVERIFY’s solutions effectively.
Negotiate contracts and close high-value deals.
Sales Operations & Performance Management:
Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
Set sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the sales team.
Monitor team performance and implement strategies to improve productivity.
Ensure proper use of CRM systems and sales tools.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
Recruit, train, and develop sales professionals.
Foster a high-performance and results-driven sales culture.
Market Intelligence & Product Positioning:
Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
Provide feedback to product and leadership teams to improve offerings.
Position OneVERIFY as a leader in digital identity and RegTech solutions.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to leadership.
Maintain proper documentation of contracts and client engagements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
5 - 8 years’ experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in tech, fintech, or SaaS companies.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of B2B sales, client acquisition, and revenue generation strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Preferred Skills / Nice to Have:
Experience in digital identity, verification platforms, or RegTech solutions.
Knowledge of Nigerian regulatory frameworks for KYC, AML, and data protection.
Experience using CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.
Strong network within relevant industries (finance, telecoms, government, etc.).
Ability to manage complex sales cycles and high-value deals.
