Greenville LNG Company Limited is the pioneer Domestic LNG producer in Nigeria with the objective of extending gas supplies to regions not reached by gas pipelines thereby making available a competitive source of energy to boost the economy. Greenville LNG Plant is in Rumuji near Port-Harcourt and has customer locations in Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Enugu, Sokoto, Aba and other cities nationwide.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job role

• Perform observations and data collection on local control panels, electrical and mechanical equipment and instruments of the different systems under his/ her responsibility. Assist operation activities in other unit(s) during heavy workload or when another field operator is absent.
• Perform local operations as instructed, according to approved procedures and promote compliance with HSE standards and guidelines at work, including any work engaging contractors. 
• Perform preventive and/ or primary maintenance of equipment and facilities as instructed and condition equipment and facilities for corrective maintenance.
• Open PTW on site, ensure job descriptions are clear and related to the JSA, verify LOTO points and equipment zero energy state with the performance party, verify workers sign on JSA and check their understanding on risks and mitigation on JSA, anything uncertain – do not open PTW and refer to Chief Operation Supervisor.
• Prepare LOTO List (for process equipment) and get verification from Chief Operation Supervisor or Control Room Operator, carry out equipment preparation and LOTO.
• Communicate with Control Room Operator before performing any field operation.
• Detect and solve faults in the equipment or facilities under his/ her responsibility, informing of those he/she is unable to solve.
• Collaborate in the analysis of operating modes and the updating of operating norms and procedures
• Participate in equipment testing and trials.
• Collaborate in taking samples for chemical analysis, environmental testing, predictive maintenance, etc., in his/ her field.
• Ensure equipment are isolated during emergencies, full knowledge of fire fighting and rescue operation. Co-operate with the Control Room Operator & maintenance crews to prepare equipment for maintenance.
• Collects and logs operating data as required.
• Collaborate in the study and analysis of incidents and in developing reports.
• Participates in safety training, on job training, fire fighting exercises and use of fire /safety equipment.
• Proper hand over of shift activities to the incoming shift field operator. Stay in the own job area until shift relief is available during shift replacements.
• Ensure proper housekeeping after any activity is completed on daily basis in his/her area in charge and/or perform housekeeping as per requirements.
• Handle chemical according to minimum requirements as per MSDS and company procedures.
• Ensure at all times, a good/friendly work environment with all parties that work in GV, reporting bad behaviours or disrespectful treatment from others.
• Any other duty that may be assigned by Line Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor`s Degree / HND in any Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of three (3) years working experience in process plant operations out of which 2 years must be in Field operation.
• Knowledge of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, absorbers and metering system.
