We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Coordinator

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities
HSE Policy Implementation:

• Implement company HSE policies, procedures, and standards across all operations.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Promote a proactive safety culture among employees and contractors.

Risk Assessment & Hazard Management:

• Conduct hazard identification (HAZID), job hazard analysis (JHA), and risk assessments.
• Support hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) where required.
• Recommend and implement control measures to mitigate risks

Site Monitoring & Compliance:

• Perform regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks.
• Ensure compliance with permit-to-work (PTW) systems, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and safe work procedures.
• Monitor use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.

Incident Reporting & Investigation:

• Report, record, and investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.

Training & Awareness:

• Coordinate and deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training programs.
• Develop safety campaigns and awareness initiatives.
• Ensure employees and contractors are competent and aware of HSE requirements.

Environmental Management:

• Monitor environmental compliance (waste management, emissions, spills).
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and company policies.
• Support environmental impact assessments and reporting.

Emergency Preparedness:

• Support development and implementation of emergency response plans.
• Participate in emergency drills (fire, oil spill, evacuation).
• Ensure availability and readiness of emergency equipment.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
• Track HSE KPIs and recommend improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and audits (internal/external).
