Job Title: Logistics & Compliance Officer
Location: Borno
Brief Role Description
The Logistics & Compliance Officer will ensure that F‑CASD’s operations, programs, and supply chain activities adhere to legal, regulatory, donor, and organizational requirements.
This role is critical in safeguarding the organization’s integrity, promoting accountability, and ensuring efficient and compliant logistics management.
The position requires strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, procurement and logistics systems, attention to detail, and the ability to foster a culture of ethical practice across the organization.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor logistics and compliance policies aligned with F‑CASD’s mission and regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to national laws, donor regulations, and internal organizational standards in procurement, warehousing, and distribution.
Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify gaps in logistics and supply chain processes, recommending corrective actions.
Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance, ethics, procurement procedures, and risk management practices.
Review contracts, agreements, and procurement activities to ensure compliance with legal and donor obligations.
Oversee inventory management, fleet operations, and supply chain documentation to guarantee transparency and accountability.
Investigate and resolve compliance issues related to logistics, reporting findings to management and stakeholders.
Maintain accurate compliance and logistics records, preparing reports for senior leadership and donors.
Collaborate with program and operations teams to integrate compliance measures into project design and implementation.
Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, donor requirements, and logistics best practices relevant to humanitarian and development programming.
Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct across all logistics and operational functions.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Law, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in logistics, compliance, risk management, or procurement roles, preferably within NGOs or development organizations.
Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, donor regulations, and national legal requirements.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage logistics systems and resolve complex compliance issues.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in logistics and compliance management tools, procurement systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Skills:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of compliance frameworks, donor regulations, and logistics systems.
Proficiency in procurement monitoring, inventory management, and reporting tools.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
