We rely exclusively on voluntary climate payments from private individuals and businesses. Aiming to decarbonize the world economy, we designed our software tools and consulting services to assist businesses in executing their climate policies, with a particular focus on business travel. Job Title: Marketing and Communications Officer

Job Summary

• We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Officer to support the development of clear and practical communication around atmosfair’s clean cooking activities in Nigeria.
• The role works closely with the sales and distribution teams to ensure marketing materials and messaging support the company’s route-to-market approach and reach customers through appropriate local channels. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities
Sales Channel Marketing & Campaign Coordination:

• Work closely with the Sales team to develop communication that supports specific sales channels and distribution approaches.
• Help plan and coordinate marketing activities that strengthen outreach through smaller sales channels and local market networks.
• Develop simple marketing materials and messaging that can be used in local sales activities, product demonstrations, and customer engagement.
• Follow sales feedback closely and adjust communication approaches where needed to improve reach and response.

Field Marketing & Customer Engagement:

• Support product demonstrations, customer education activities, and local outreach efforts that help customers understand product benefits and correct usage.
• Help adapt messaging and outreach activities to different customer groups and local market contexts.
• Assist in field activities that encourage product awareness, trust, and continued use of clean cookstoves.

Communications & External Engagement:

• Support the development of a network of external partners including government agencies, universities, and research institutions.
• Assist in organising workshops, events, or meetings related to clean cooking and climate projects.
• Manage and distribute a regular company newsletter highlighting project progress, partnerships, and field activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong university Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing, communications, or outreach.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple communication tasks.
• Ability to work closely with operational teams such as sales and field staff.
• International or cross-cultural work experience is highly desirable.
• Business-fluent English is required.
• Willingness to relocate to Kano and work in a fast-growing production environment.
• Strong motivation to contribute to climate protection and sustainable development.

Reporting Structure:

• You will report directly to the General Manager of atmosfair Climate & Sustainability Ltd. and maintain a dotted line to the management of atmosfair gGmbH, based in Berlin, Germany.
