Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor

Location: Ilupeju or Abule Egba, Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Senior Internal Auditor to join our team at the Abule Egba branch.
• The ideal candidate will play a key role in strengthening internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving operational efficiency across our healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits of financial, operational, and clinical processes.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems.
• Review financial records, transactions, and reporting for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop audit programs to address identified risks.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, policies, and standards (NHIS, FMOH, Lagos State Health regulations, etc.).
• Investigate irregularities, fraud, and non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with department heads and management to implement audit recommendations.
• Monitor and track the implementation of corrective measures.
• Provide support during external audits and statutory examinations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of relevant auditing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Valid practicing license/membership with a recognized professional body.
• National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate (completed).

Requirements & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal control frameworks, and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Proficiency in the use of audit software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment is a strong advantage.
