We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Area Production Supervisor

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Area Production Supervisor will oversee and coordinate production activities across multiple outlets or production units within Akwa Ibom State.
• The role ensures consistent product quality, operational efficiency, cost control, and adherence to food safety standards across all confectionery and QSR production lines (pastries, cakes, bread, pizza, and related products).

Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight:

• Supervise daily production activities across all assigned locations.
• Ensure standardization of recipes, taste, portioning, and presentation.
• Monitor production schedules to meet demand without overproduction or waste.
• Coordinate central kitchen and outlet-level production where applicable.

Quality Control & Assurance:

• Enforce strict adherence to product quality standards.
• Conduct routine quality checks on pastries, cakes, pizza, bread, and other menu items.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC and food safety regulations.
• Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, train, and supervise production supervisors, bakers, and kitchen staff.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and on-the-job training.
• Build a high-performance, disciplined production team.
• Ensure proper staff scheduling across all units.

Inventory & Cost Management:

• Monitor raw material usage and minimize wastage.
• Work closely with procurement to ensure timely availability of ingredients.
• Control food cost and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

Operational Efficiency:

• Develop and improve production processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and utilized.
• Drive continuous improvement across all production units.
• Implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) across locations.

Compliance & Hygiene:

• Ensure all production units maintain high hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Enforce HACCP and food safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Reporting & Analytics:

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Track KPIs such as output, wastage, cost, and efficiency.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Education: HND / B.Sc. in Food Science, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 5 - 7 years experience in food production, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/area role.
• Strong background in:
  • Pastries
  • Cakes
  • Bread production
  • Pizza/QSR operations.

• Deep understanding of large-scale food production
• Excellent knowledge of bakery and QSR processes
• Cost control and inventory management expertise
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Good communication and reporting skills

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel across locations within Akwa Ibom State
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and quality.

Working Conditions:

• Frequent movement between production sites/outlets
• May require early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
• Physically demanding at times (kitchen/production floor presence).
