Robotics Video Data Collector – AI Training Project (Remote) at Ricardian Corp

Ricardian Labs is building next-generation robotics AI systems. To train these systems effectively, we need high-quality, structured video data recorded by real people following precise instructions. As an AI Video Data Specialist, you will be a core part of our data pipeline ; recording, reviewing, and submitting short-form task videos that directly teach robotic systems how humans interact with the physical world.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Robotics Video Data Collector – AI Training Project

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

What You Will Do
Each day, you will:

• Receive a list of video prompts — specific actions, objects, or scenarios to record
• Record approximately 60 short videos per day (each video is roughly 5 minutes long)
• Follow precise recording guidelines (angle, lighting, framing, pace) provided in your briefing
• Review each video before submission to ensure it meets quality standards
• Upload completed videos to a designated shared workspace (Google Drive or designated platform)
• Fill a simple daily log confirming videos submitted and flagging any technical issues
• Communicate clearly with team lead if a prompt is unclear or technically unfeasible

What This Role Is NOT:

• This is not a software or coding job — no technical background required
• This is not creative content creation — you follow structured prompts, not improvise
• This is not passive work — you must meet a daily quota every single working day
• This is not a permanent position — the contract is fixed at 2–3 months, you will be promoted if you show good work ethic and culture

Requirements
You must have:

• A smartphone with a working camera (minimum: iPhone 11 or equivalent Android — 1080p video capable)
• Stable internet connection capable of uploading video files (minimum 5 Mbps upload speed)
• A Google account (for file submission via Google Drive)
• A quiet, reasonably well-lit space where you can record without interruption for several hours
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely
• Reliability — you must be available and productive every working day
• Basic English reading and comprehension (prompts are written in English)

Nice to have (not required):

• Prior experience with any AI data platform
• Basic video recording knowledge (framing, lighting, stability)
• A tripod or phone stand for hands-free recording.

Compensation & Payment

• Salary: N150,000 - N200,000 per month.
• Payment is made on the last working day of each month via bank transfer
• Compensation is not tied to video quality ratings — but consistent quality failures may result in contract termination
• No equity, no benefits — this is a straightforward fixed-term contract
