Job Title: Blocks Production Officer (Blocks and Machinery) 

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Blocks Production Officer will support the Production Officer in overseeing the daily operations and manufacturing processes for the production of Mshel building blocks and machinery.
• The role involves assisting in coordinating production schedules, monitoring quality control, troubleshooting operational issues, and helping to optimize production efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Production Officer in leading the manufacturing team and overseeing all aspects of the production process.
• Help develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and meet project Timelines.
• Monitor production activities and identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, and quality
• Assist in the implementation of quality control measures and protocols to ensure products meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Provide training and guidance to production staff on proper operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Analyze production data and provide reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the Production Officer.
• Conduct routine checks on machinery and equipment, reporting faults or irregularities promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Purchasing, Inventory to coordinate production needs.
• Recommend process improvements and contribute ideas to enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in the production of blocks and troubleshooting of machinery 
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the production team
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with machinery operations and maintenance procedures
