Job Title: Chief Mechanic (Diesel Engines)

Job Summary

• As the Chief Mechanic (Diesel Engines), you will oversee the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of diesel-powered trucks and equipment while ensuring optimal performance, minimal downtime, and effective supervision of mechanical operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across trucks and heavy-duty equipment
• Supervise mechanical activities and ensure proper maintenance schedules are followed
• Conduct routine inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency
• Manage repair records, parts usage, and report major faults or replacement needs
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of mechanical tools and equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or Technical/Vocational certification in Automobile or Diesel Mechanics
• Minimum of 4 years experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles
• Relevant certification in Diesel/Heavy-Duty Mechanics is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repairs
• Good leadership, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning skills.

Salary
NGN 200,000 - 400,000 Monthly.
