Job Title: Information Technology Officer

Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a competent and proactive Information Technology Officer to manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, provide technical support, and ensure data security and system efficiency.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting staff with IT-related needs, and ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the organization’s entire IT infrastructure (hardware, software, and networks)
• Install, configure, and support computer systems, servers, and applications
• Oversee network administration, including LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, and security
• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain CCTV surveillance systems (IP cameras, DVR/NVR)
• Ensure proper storage, backup, and retrieval of CCTV footage when required
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IT systems, networks, and CCTV equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and system upgrades
• Ensure data protection, cybersecurity, and system integrity across all platforms
• Provide technical support to staff and resolve IT-related issues promptly
• Maintain IT asset register and ensure proper inventory management of all equipment
• Set up and manage email systems, user accounts, and access controls
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and security
• Document IT processes, maintenance logs, and system configurations
• Support the implementation of new technologies and digital systems within the organizatio

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Masters degreein Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5–10 years experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience in IT systems administration and support
• Strong knowledge of networking, system security, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with CCTV installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Familiarity with IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and remote monitoring tools
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and IT support tools.
