Job Title: Video Editor & Camera Operator

Role Overview

• The Video Editor & Camera Operator will be responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling, high-quality video content that communicates the vision and anointing of BDM.
• This role requires both technical mastery and creative storytelling, working closely with the media production team to produce broadcasts, social media content, promotional videos, and course materials that impact audiences globally.

Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Post-Production:

• Edit sermons, conferences, events, and e-courses into engaging final products.
• Create promotional videos, teasers, trailers, and highlight reels for social media and broadcast.
• Assemble raw footage, add effects, transitions, graphics, sound design, and color correction.
• Produce platform-specific edits (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, TV broadcast).

Motion Graphics & Visual Enhancements:

• Design and integrate motion graphics, lower-thirds, text overlays, and branded templates.
• Work with the graphics team to create unified visual styles across all media.
• Ensure all video content reflects BDM’s prophetic identity and standard of excellence.

Collaboration & Media Production Support:

• Collaborate with videographers, producers, and creative teams during the entire production cycle.
• Provide input on filming angles, lighting, and audio for smoother editing outcomes.
• Support live-stream productions when needed.

Asset & File Management:

• Organize, archive, and manage video footage and project files.
• Maintain efficiency by establishing workflows for quick turnaround times.
• Ensure all media assets are properly backed up and accessible to the team.

Innovation & Growth:

• Stay up to date with video trends, editing techniques, and digital storytelling strategies.
• Suggest new ways to present ministry content for maximum impact and virality.
• Experiment with creative formats to increase engagement across platforms.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Film, Media, Communications, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in video editing.
• Proven portfolio of edited video content across different platforms.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong knowledge of color grading, audio balancing, and motion graphics.
• Ability to create fast-paced edits for social media and long-form edits for courses and sermons.
• Familiarity with YouTube optimization and video formatting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and storytelling instincts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
