Description

• Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to fill the role of Head, Business Operations.
• The successful candidate will provide leadership across key operational functions including accounts, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment), administration, IT, and supply chain.
• This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading strategic planning and resource allocation across all business support functions.
• Overseeing daily operations across accounts, HSSE, administration, IT, and supply chain.
• Establishing operational goals and drive performance across supervised departments.
• Analysing internal processes and implement improvements for operational efficiency.
• Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and cost optimization.
• Managing procurement, vendor relationships, inventory, and logistics operations.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standards.
• Developing and implement HSSE strategies to ensure workplace safety and risk mitigation.
• Managing stakeholder relationships including vendors, regulators, and government agencies.
• Negotiating contracts and commercial agreements in line with company strategy.
• Leading, mentoring, and managing teams to achieve performance targets.
• Establishing KPIs and monitor performance across all operational units.
• Collaborating with executive management to drive business growth and scalability.
• Performing other related duties to support overall organizational objectives.

Person Specifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in operations, procurement, or finance
• Prior experience in a senior management role is highly desirable
• Professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CIPS) are an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting, supply chain, IT systems, and HSSE regulations
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and adaptability.

Annual Gross Renumeration
N20,000,000 – N25,000,000.
