Biase Plantations Limited is a subsidiary of Wilmar International Limited, Singapore, one of Asia’s leading agribusiness groups. Incorporated on 9 February 2011, Biase Plantations Limited has established itself as a major player in Nigeria’s palm oil industry. The company operates an integrated oil palm project in Cross River State, Nigeria, covering over 34,000 hectares of plantations and a state-of-the-art palm oil mill. It stands as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s palm oil sector, combining large-scale plantation management with advanced processing facilities, and contributing to both local and global agribusiness growth.
The Process Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all palm oil mill processing operations, ensuring maximum extraction efficiency, product quality, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Process Operations Management:
Supervise daily palm oil milling processes including sterilization, threshing, digestion, pressing, clarification, and kernel recovery.
Monitor process parameters to ensure optimal oil extraction rates (OER) and kernel extraction rates (KER).
Ensure continuous and efficient plant operations with minimal downtime.
Production Efficiency & Optimization:
Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements to maximize throughput and reduce losses.
Monitor oil losses in fiber, shell, and effluent; take corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain proper temperature, pressure, and processing conditions.
Collaborate with laboratory staff for routine sampling and analysis.
Equipment & Maintenance Coordination:
Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability.
Report faults promptly and follow up on repairs.
Participate in preventive maintenance planning.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
Enforce safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE.
Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, especially effluent treatment.
Team Leadership & Supervision:
Supervise operators and process workers during shifts.
Provide training and guidance to improve team performance.
Prepare shift reports and communicate with other supervisors.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate production records and daily reports.
Track KPIs such as throughput, OER, downtime, and losses.
Report deviations and recommend corrective actions.

Job Requirements
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Must have 3-5 years’ experience in a palm oil mill or similar processing plant.
Hands-on experience with palm oil processing equipment is required.
Skills & Competencies:

Good communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in shift systems.
Technical Knowledge:
Sterilizers, digesters, screw presses, clarifiers
