Summary

• We are currently seeking a smart, customer-friendly, and experienced Barista to join our team in Ikoyi Lagos.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving quality beverages, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the smooth daily operations of the café.

Job Description

• The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and drinks in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
• They are key to creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers and ensuring exceptional service per the Company standards.

Responsibilities
Beverage and Food Preparation:

• Prepare and serve various hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, according to standardized recipes.
• Ensure all drinks are presented neatly and served fresh.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all items served.

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders with a positive attitude.
• Provide menu suggestions and answer customer questions about ingredients and preparation methods.
• Handle customer complaints or inquiries politely and resolve issues promptly.

Hygiene and Cleanliness:

• Good grooming and professional appearance
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including counters, machines, and utensils.
• Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation.
• Conduct regular cleaning of equipment and the café area to meet hygiene standards.

Inventory and Supplies:

• Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
• Notify management of low stock or equipment maintenance needs.
• Assist in restocking shelves and organizing storage areas.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Support other team members when needed, including assisting with opening or closing duties.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a barista is mandatory.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality service.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry items up to 15 kg (e.g., coffee supplies or equipment).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Work Hours:

• Flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar hospitality/customer service role is an added advantage
• Strong customer service orientation.

Salary
N150,000 monthly.
