Job Title: IT Operations and Infrastructure Officer

Location: Surulere, Lagos

Job Description 

• The IT Operations and Infrastructure Officer is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and security of the organisation’s IT infrastructure.
• This role ensures that systems, networks, servers, and end-user devices function reliably to support daily business operations.

Key Responsibilities
IT Operations:

• Monitor and maintain daily IT operations to ensure system availability and performance.
• Provide first- and second-level technical support to users on hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application issues promptly.
• Maintain IT service logs, incident reports, and resolution documentation.

Infrastructure Management:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, workstations, printers, and related infrastructure.
• Manage LAN, WAN, internet connectivity, and network security devices.
• Ensure regular system backups, data recovery procedures, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Monitor server capacity, storage usage, and system performance.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and access controls.
• Ensure antivirus, firewalls, and system updates are properly managed.
• Support compliance with organisational and regulatory IT standards.
• Identify and escalate potential security risks or breaches.

Vendor & Asset Management:

• Liaise with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants when required.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets, licenses, and infrastructure components.
• Support procurement, deployment, and replacement of IT equipment.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain IT operational procedures and user guides.
• Generate periodic reports on system performance, incidents, and infrastructure status.
• Support audits and management reviews related to IT operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years’ experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems support.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN).
• Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and system configuration.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent IT issues.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.

Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 per Month.
