Description
We are looking for an experienced financial firm or individual to act as our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), blend seamlessly into our existing structures and take care of our day-to-day financial operations. Our audacious plan is to establish viable Safritecture offices in the capital cities of each sovereign African state between Q2 2026 and Q1 2027. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) you will be expected to provide full financial support and documentation for the entire organization.
The ability to problem solve, use your own judgement, think creatively and work calmly under pressure are all essential skills to the role. Participation in the monthly Command Centre Meetings and policy formation in line with the Safritecture Business Model is mandatory, as you are expected to anchor the financial presentations.
As the CFO is a senior-level executive you will be expected to provide management, leadership and vision to ensure the organisation meets its short-term and long-term financial objectives. If a firm, it is imperative that an Implant i.e. a proficient technical member of the CFO team will be stationed at the Safritecture Command Centre, Lagos to act as a Financial Assistant to the CEO.
The duties of the Implant will include preparation of financial and management reports to keep the CEO and other Executives duly and regularly informed of Safritecture’s performance, in each country location. Overseeing the activities of the Implant remain with the parent CFO firm.
Roles and Responsibilties
The CFO is responsible for the Finance operations of Safritecture. This includes but is not limited to:
Financial and Working Capital Management.
Measurement Planning,
Budgeting and Control.
Governance and Compliance.
Risk Management.
Business and Strategic Support.
Taxes
Internal and External controls/audits.
This position requires the CFO to:
Assume full responsibility for all financial operations and functions within the department.
Ensure all transactions are reviewed on a regular basis, balance sheet accounts are managed & cleared, reconciliations and controls are performed, outstanding purchase orders are followed up and irregularities and potential problems are reported.
Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices.
Contribute to the development and amelioration of financial systems/models.
Ensure that funds and cost centres are set up and maintained to support our operations and specific requirements.
Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors.
Communicate, co-ordinate and manage the relevant processes to ensure all financial year-end and other administration requirements are met timeously, e.g. Prior Year Reserve calculations for all areas and distribution thereof.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounting reports.
Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the Lagos Command Centre; administer and review all financial plans and budgets.
Provide innovative financial advices to operational managers to improve performance, increase cash and reduce risks.
Ensure tax, legislative and statutory requirements are met.
Look for opportunities to minimize tax liabilities of Safritecture.
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile.

Effective use of Microsoft Office especially Excel. Deep knowledge of financial accounting, payroll and inventory software.
Remuneration
$30,000 / annum excluding bonuses & allowances.
