Yemert  - We are an agritech company supporting smallholder farmers across Nigeria. We work with licensed insurers to design and distribute insurance products that improve financial protection and resilience for underserved farming communities.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Insurance Lead

Location: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

• The insurance lead will be responsible for leading our insurance operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing relationships with insurance partners.
• This role will also support the integration and scaling of insurance products across our technology platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as regulatory liaison
• Manage relatonships withinsurance underwriters and partners
• Oversee insurance operations, including policy placement and claims coordination
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and operational standards
• Support the integration and scaling of insurance products on our platform
• Provide technical guidance on insurance processes and product deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in insurance, underwriting, brokerage, or insurance operations
• Experience working with insurance companies, brokers, or insurtech platforms
• Strong knowledge of insurance operation sand underwriting processes
• Strong regulatory and compliance awarenesss
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organizational and operational management abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-growing,technology-driven environments.
