Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize the supply chain function supporting its operations.
The role is within the upstream oil and gas sector, focusing on strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and vendor relations.
The Supply Chain Manager will develop and implement supply chain strategies, oversee procurement processes, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
This position also involves driving risk management initiatives, fostering supplier partnerships, and leading a high-performance team.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with our client’s operational goals to drive efficiency and value creation.
Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring timely, cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while enforcing procurement policies and guidelines.
Lead contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards including local content and international trade regulations.
Manage logistics operations encompassing transportation, warehousing, and distribution to optimize material flow and reduce operational costs.
Optimize inventory management by balancing operational demand with cost minimization, implementing best practices in material handling and storage.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive risk management initiatives to minimize disruptions.
Foster strong partnerships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to enhance collaboration and supply chain performance.
Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, promoting a high-performance culture focused on innovation, continuous learning, and ethical procurement practices.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain efficiency, preparing detailed reports on performance, costs, and risks for senior management.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within complex operational environments
Proven expertise in procurement, logistics, vendor relationship management, and contract negotiation
Strong knowledge of supply chain management systems and ERP software such as SAP or Oracle
Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and manage supply chain risks effectively
Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and drive high performance
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to support strategic decision-making
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities to balance operational needs with long-term objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related discipline
Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
Experience in upstream oil and gas or similarly complex industries
Track record of implementing process optimizations and cost-saving initiatives within supply chain functions
