Job Title: Head, Projects and Works
Location: Lagos
Role Purpose
As Head, Projects & Works, you will provide strategic leadership for the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure and technical projects across the organization.
You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
Your Contribution will include
Project Planning & Delivery Oversight: Lead the planning, monitoring, and execution of network expansion, upgrade, rehabilitation, and third-party infrastructure projects.
Infrastructure Development & Technical Design: Provide civil and engineering input during project conceptualization and planning, review and approve technical drawings, and ensure infrastructure designs align with network expansion and operational needs.
Project Monitoring & Quality Assurance: Track physical and financial project progress, conduct site inspections, verify contractor deliverables, and ensure strict compliance with approved specifications, safety standards, and technical requirements.
Risk Management & Compliance: Develop risk management plans for infrastructure investments, identify potential technical, financial, and delivery risks, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard project success.
Data Management & Reporting: Supervise the maintenance of project databases and as-built drawings while producing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to support leadership decision-making.
MinimumRequirements
This opportunity is a Managerial role responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of infrastructure and technical projects across the organization.
This position reports directly to the Chief Technical Officer.
Successful applicants will typically possess the following criteria:
Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
A Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration (MBA) is an added advantage.
Professional engineering certification and membership in recognized bodies such as COREN, NSE etc. is required.
Relevant project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 is an added advantage.
A minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering and project management experience, with significant exposure to large-scale infrastructure, utility, or power sector.
