Job Title: Manager – Energy / Feeder
Location: Lagos or Abuja, Nigeria

Reports to: Director – Franchise Operations
Work arrangement: Work will be delivered on-site at the client’s location / in the field
How You'll Make an Impact
We are looking for a technically sharp and commercially aware Manager – Energy / Feeder to sit at the intersection of data, field, and product relationships.
In this role, you will drive energy performance across assigned client networks managing metering integrity, conducting loss studies, and delivering the insights that power smarter grid decisions.
What You'll Do
Energy Monitoring & Data Integrity:
Work closely with the Product Operations team to ensure accurate real-time streaming of feeder and distribution transformer (DT) energy readings
Monitor and validate readings for Maximum Demand (MD) customers to ensure data accuracy and operational reliability
Conduct joint meter readings with client technical teams for billing verification and monthly energy reconciliation
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of energy data used for operational analysis, reporting, and ESG requirements
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong working relationships with client metering departments and distribution substation officers to ensure the reliability and proper functioning of metering assets
Serve as a key operational contact for client teams regarding metering performance, feeder monitoring, and energy data integrity
Provide regular management reports on feeder energy performance, including analysis of trends, operational risks, and improvement opportunities
Technical Analysis & Loss Reduction:
Conduct joint technical loss studies with client engineering teams across assigned feeders and regions
Support the identification of technical and operational losses and recommend corrective actions to improve network efficiency
Lead or support energy audits and contribute to the implementation of measures that improve energy performance
Field & Technical Operations:
Support basic meter repair and meter recertification activities in collaboration with technical metering teams
Participate in field inspections and operational assessments to ensure proper functioning of metering and feeder infrastructure
Coordinate with vendors and contractors involved, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with national energy regulations applicable to client markets
Support adherence to relevant international technical and operational standards
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to support operational, regulatory, and sustainability reporting requirements
Managerial Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a high-performing team with clear goals, KPIs, and accountability standards
Manage team capacity, resource allocation, and delivery planning within approved budgets
Participate in annual planning and forecasting processes
Own hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and individual development plans
Ensure operational discipline, timely delivery, and quality standards
Identify and escalate resource or budget risks impacting delivery
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Professional & Technical Strengths:
Strong practical experience in energy management, metering operations, and electrical engineering within a utility or power distribution company
Strong understanding of feeder energy performance, loss analysis, and electricity metering systems
Ability to conduct and interpret technical loss studies and energy audits
Familiarity with grid management concepts, including distribution transformer (DT) readings and Maximum Demand (MD) monitoring
Experience coordinating or managing vendors and contractors involved in energy or infrastructure projects
Working knowledge of national energy regulations, as well as ESG and sustainability reporting requirements.
Leadership & Interpersonal Strengths:

Willingness to travel within and outside the country
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with client technical teams and external stakeholders
Clear and structured communicator, capable of translating technical analysis into actionable insights and management reports
Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different sites and client engagements.
Nice to Have:
Experience working with SCADA systems, Meter Data Management (MDM) platforms
Exposure to data analysis tools or dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms)
Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives within utilities, particularly related to energy monitoring, loss reduction, or network performance optimization.
