OmegaPi Technologies Limited is a leading indigenous Nigerian Information Technology consultancy and software development firm, established in 2018 and formally incorporated in 2021 (RC: 1790527). Headquartered in Maiduguri, Borno State — one of Nigeria's most operationally challenging environments — OmegaPi has built a reputation for delivering adaptive, scalable, and secure digital solutions that perform reliably even under resource-constrained conditions.
Our strategic mission is to bridge the Digital, Information, and Communication Technology gap between Africa and the global stage, driving meaningful digital transformation across the Nigerian humanitarian and development sectors. With consultation offices in Abuja, Delta, Gombe, and Adamawa States, we combine deep local contextual intelligence with world-class technical capability. Our core service portfolio spans: Mobile Application Development (Flutter), Web Platform Engineering (Django, Laravel), Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Secure Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean), Cybersecurity Forensics Operations, and 3D Graphic Design. We operate with a Security-by-Design philosophy — embedding protection at every layer of our architecture — and a commitment to open-source, modular, and CI/CD-driven development practices. At OmegaPi, every product we ship is a statement: that world-class technology can be built here, for here — and for the world.

- Build and integrate robust game mechanics, physics systems, animation pipelines, and real-time UI/UX experiences that meet or exceed industry standards.
- Translate creative game concepts and storyboards into technically sound, playable prototypes and production-ready releases.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and 3D artists to integrate assets, animations, and visual effects seamlessly into the game engine.
Performance, Optimisation & Architecture:
- Implement and continuously refine performance optimisation strategies to ensure smooth gameplay across a broad spectrum of mobile device specifications, including low-end Android hardware prevalent in the Nigerian market.
- Architect clean, maintainable, and scalable codebases using object-oriented design patterns, MVC/ECS frameworks, and best-practice game development principles.
- Profile, debug, and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and platform-specific rendering issues.
- Ensure all game builds comply with platform-specific guidelines and pass Google Play Store and Apple App Store review processes.
Integration & Innovation:
- Integrate third-party SDKs including analytics platforms, in-app purchase systems, cloud save services, advertisement networks, and social/leaderboard SDKs.
- Explore and prototype AI-driven game features, procedural generation systems, and adaptive difficulty mechanics in alignment with OmegaPi's AI integration expertise.
- Stay current with emerging mobile game development trends, tools, and platform updates, and proactively recommend adoption of relevant new technologies.
Collaboration & Quality:
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for game systems, APIs, and architecture to support knowledge transfer and team scalability.
- Support junior developers and contribute to OmegaPi's culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, Interactive Media, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated, hands-on experience developing and shipping mobile games on Android and/or iOS platforms.
- A strong, verifiable portfolio of released mobile game titles on the Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store — portfolio submission is mandatory.
- Proven experience working with Unity (C#) or Unreal Engine (C++/Blueprints), including proficiency with the engine's core systems.
- Working knowledge of cross-platform mobile development and understanding of platform-specific constraints, guidelines, and optimisation requirements.
- Experience with version control systems (Git / GitHub) and collaborative development workflows.
- Demonstrable experience integrating third-party SDKs, REST APIs, and mobile services within a game context.
Technical Skills and Competencies:
Core Game Engines & Languages:
- Unity (C#) — Advanced proficiency; knowledge of Unity's DOTS/ECS and URP/HDRP pipelines is a strong advantage.
- Unreal Engine (C++ / Blueprints) — solid working knowledge.
- Alternative frameworks such as Godot, Cocos2d-x, or Flutter Flame are a plus.
Game Systems & Technical Domains:
- Physics engines, rigidbody simulation, collision detection, and game-world interaction systems.
- 2D/3D animation systems, skeletal animation, blend trees, and state machine design.
- Mobile UI/UX design patterns: HUD design, menu flows, responsive layout systems, and accessibility.
- Audio engine integration (FMOD, Wwise, or native Unity/Unreal audio systems).
- Shader development, particle systems, and visual effects pipelines.
Platforms, DevOps & Publishing:
- Android (API 21+) and iOS (14+) build pipelines, signing, and store submission workflows.
- CI/CD for game builds using GitHub Actions, Unity Cloud Build, or equivalent.
- Profiling tools: Unity Profiler, Android GPU Inspector, Xcode Instruments.
- Experience with cloud save, leaderboards, and Google Play Games / Apple Game Center integrations.
Data, Analytics & Monetisation:
- Integration of mobile analytics SDKs (Firebase, GameAnalytics, Adjust) for player behaviour tracking.
