Job Title: Hostess

Location: Mainland, Lagos

Job Summary

• They are seeking a well-presented and professional hostess with excellent communication skills, a confident posture, fair and beautiful and a welcoming personality.
• The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a warm and professional first impression.
• She manages reservations, greets and seats guests, and ensures smooth coordination of the dining area to enhance the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Reception & Welcome:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival
• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude
• Escort guests to their tables in a timely manner
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return

Reservation Management:

• Manage bookings and reservations (walk-ins, calls, online)
• Maintain an organized reservation system
• Confirm reservations and handle cancellations or changes
• Manage waiting lists during peak hours

Seating & Table Coordination:

• Assign tables based on availability and guest preferences
• Coordinate with waitstaff to ensure efficient table turnover
• Monitor dining room flow to avoid overcrowding
• Ensure proper rotation of tables among servers

Customer Service:

• Address guest inquiries and provide accurate information about the restaurant
• Handle minor complaints and escalate issues when necessary
• Ensure guests are comfortable while waiting

Communication & Coordination:

• Work closely with waitstaff, kitchen, and management
• Inform staff of VIP guests, special requests, or large parties
• Communicate delays or issues to guests professionally

Front Desk & Entrance Management:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception/entrance area
• Ensure menus and promotional materials are available and presentable
• Monitor guest flow at the entrance

Appearance & Professionalism:

• Maintain a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance
• Demonstrate confidence, poise, and good posture
• Uphold the brand image of the establishment
