Job Title: Utility Operator (FMCG Experience Required)

Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Utility Operator with proven experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining utility systems to ensure uninterrupted production processes, while adhering to safety and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor utility equipment including boilers, generators, compressors, chillers, and water treatment systems
• Ensure continuous and efficient supply of utilities (steam, power, water, compressed air) to production lines
• Monitor system parameters (pressure, temperature, flow rates) and make necessary adjustments
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all utility systems
• Troubleshoot faults and perform basic repairs to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate logs of operations, maintenance activities, and system performance
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
• Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams for major repairs and upgrades
• Optimize energy consumption and reduce operational costs
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping within the utility area

Requirements

• OND/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
• 2–4 years’ experience as a Utility Operator in an FMCG or manufacturing company (compulsory)
• Hands-on experience operating boilers, compressors, generators, and water treatment systems
• Strong understanding of utility systems and plant operations
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills
• Good knowledge of safety practices and industrial regulations
• Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
