Job Title: Settlement & Reconciliation Officer

Job Summary

• Our client is seeking a detail-oriented experienced professional Settlement and Reconciliation Officer to manage high-volume transaction integrity in Abuja, FCT.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily reconciliation of transaction data across internal platforms, payment platforms, bank statements, and partner records.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve all reconciliation breaks promptly to maintain financial integrity.
• Flag and report unresolved variances in strict alignment with established internal control protocols.
• Track settlement cycles closely to guarantee the timely and precise movement of funds.
• Maintain reconciliation trackers and dashboards.
• Develop automated reconciliation templates, validation checks, and process improvements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly settlement reports featuring detailed analytics to support business decision-making.
• Provide management with data-driven insights and risk exposure analyses.
• Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with all relevant departments, including Finance, Operations, and external partners, to resolve discrepancies and strengthen process efficiency.
• Perform all other tasks incidental to the role.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Sc. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related discipline with 3–5 years’ hands-on reconciliation experience in fintech, banking, or financial services
• Professional certification (ACCA, ACA, ICAN – completed or in progress) is an advantage.
• Strong data analytics background/certification
• Strong understanding of settlement cycles and financial controls.

Salary
N350,000 - N650,000 per month.
