Job Title: Diesel Generator Service Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos

Job Description
Service Engineers Job Description is to assist the Service Manager to accomplish the functions as follows:

Service Development:

• To sustain the existing customers and win more
• To sustain holistic maintenance approach.
• To ensure cost effective installations and hitch free commissioning processes.
• To ensure good bundling with Sales team, customer-care and GRMs/BMs
• Strive to achieve volume service.
• Prospect on corporate service / others: Banks, Telecoms, Organisations with National spread,  Etc.
• Increase Database in SLA / Pay as you go and in turn return to profitability
• Enhancement in Revenue Generation.

Effective Service Value Delivery
To ensure the following;

• Prompt response time.
• Less downtime.
• Good rapport with clients / operators, Good communication line
• Get it right the first time, teams to always ask when in doubt.
• Appropriate dress code to sites.
• Instill discipline.
• Teams to discuss jobs before moving to sites in the morning or previous evening.
• Monitoring competitors. Are there things they are doing to add value that we are not doing.
• Mitigate against diversion of jobs.
• To ensure quality service delivery at all times
• Sort out parts issues with stores / procurement.

Job Card:

• Ensure Realtime job cards (JC) closure. Target 7 days as per company policy should show cause of extension.
• Reports as to be directed.
• Opening of job cards / closure

Others:

• Attend to technical issues / complaints from clients
• Job planning / execution
• Technical reports
• Load Audit / Site inspection / preparation of estimates both for Installation,
• Repairs and Overhauling
• Handling of Branch SERVICE WARRANTY ISSUES.
• Carry out PDI of all generator Stock at the Branch before leaving to customers’s sites
• Sourcing and handling of generator rental set etc.
• And other duties that might be assigned from time to time by the line managers and Management.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:

• Candidates should possess an HND / BSc in Engineering, Business, or a related field with 3–5 years experience (electrical / Diesel generator repairs)
