Job Title: Vetting Officer

Location: Oyo

Job Summary

• The Vetting Officer is responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality control in the packaging and dispatch of products.
• The role involves verifying that all goods prepared by the Inventory Officer meet company standards and that product specifications align with invoices to prevent discrepancies, losses, or customer complaints.

Responsibilities

• Verify and confirm all products packed by the Inventory Officer before dispatch.
• Ensure that product specifications (quantity, type, weight, and quality) match details stated on invoices and delivery notes.
• Conduct physical inspections of packaged goods to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Identify, report, and prevent discrepancies, shortages, damages, or inconsistencies.
• Cross-check batch numbers, expiry dates (where applicable), and labeling accuracy.
• Maintain accurate records of vetted products and report findings to management.
• Collaborate with the Inventory and Sales teams to resolve inconsistencies promptly.
• Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and company policies.
• Monitor and enforce proper packaging standards to avoid product damage during transit.
• Investigate and document any irregularities or losses detected during vetting.
• Support periodic stock audits and reconciliation exercises.
• Ensure timely vetting to avoid delays in product dispatch.
• Preparing daily reports of goods and products sent
• Filling and documentation, both in hard and soft copies of products dispatch

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Business Administration, Agriculture, Logistics, or related field.
• Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or quality assurance is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems and documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
