Job Title: Sales and Distribution Manager, B2C

Job Summary
The Sales and Distribution Manager (B2C) is responsible for driving revenue growth and ensuring end-to-end product availability across all business-to-consumer channels.
The role holder will lead, coach, and manage a team of 11 sales staff while overseeing daily field operations, cash management, and customer base expansion.
This is a high-impact commercial role that demands strong field leadership, operational discipline, and a results-driven mindset.
Oversee the complete end-to-end management of the product — from order placement through to final cash collection.
Raise purchase and sales orders accurately and in a timely manner to ensure uninterrupted product availability.
Manage sell-in and sell-out activities across all assigned B2C channels on a daily basis.
Conduct daily cash collection, reconciliation, and reporting in line with company financial protocols.
Daily Reporting & Financial Controls:
Prepare and submit a Daily Sales Force (SSF) balance report, ensuring all figures are reconciled at close of business each day.
Generate and submit a comprehensive Daily Cash Report capturing all cash receipts, outstanding balances, and variances.
Ensure all financial documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted to the appropriate supervisor within stipulated deadlines.
Team Leadership & Productivity Management:
Directly supervise, coordinate, and manage the productivity of 11 sales staff attached to the unit.
Set daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets for each sales representative and monitor achievement levels.
Provide ongoing coaching, motivation, and performance feedback to drive individual and team output.
Identify underperformance early and implement corrective measures or escalate as required.
Customer Growth & Relationship Management:
Drive a minimum of 5% net growth in the active customer base every calendar month.
Develop and implement customer acquisition strategies suited to the B2C market.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure retention and repeat business.
Identify and onboard new customers through structured prospecting, field visits, and market activation.
Market Intelligence & Trade Execution:
Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and consumer behaviour within assigned territory.
Ensure product visibility, placement, and availability at all active customer touchpoints.
Escalate market feedback and trade challenges to management with recommended action plans.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or HND qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
3–5 years of progressive experience in B2C sales, FMCG distribution, or trade marketing.
Proven track record of managing field sales teams and consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Experience with SSF (Sales Support Function) tools, daily cash balancing, and trade reporting is an advantage.
Strong understanding of last-mile distribution and consumer channel dynamics
Working Conditions:
This is a field-based management role.
The Sales and Distribution Manager will be required to travel within the assigned sales territory regularly.
The role requires flexibility in working hours, particularly during peak sales periods, product launches, or end-of-month reporting cycles.
Salary
N650,000 monthly (Basic + Full incentive earned).
