We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Driver

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom 
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Function

• The Managing Director's driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and efficient transportation for the Managing Director.
• The role requires high levels of discretion, professionalism, and adherence to road safety and company protocols.

Role Responsibilities
Executive Transportation:

• Drive the Managing Director to and from meetings, appointments, and official engagements.
• Ensure punctuality and readiness at all times, including early morning or late evening schedules.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all movements, conversations, and activities.

Vehicle Management & Maintenance:

• Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, fueled, and in optimal working condition at all times.
• Conduct routine checks on engine, brakes, oil, tires, and general vehicle condition.
• Schedule and follow up on servicing, repairs, and maintenance.
• Report any faults or issues immediately for prompt resolution.

Route Planning & Safety:

• Plan efficient routes to avoid delays and traffic disruptions.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
• Monitor road conditions and adjust routes where necessary.
• Ensure the safety of passengers at all times.

Logistics & Errand Support:

• Assist with official errands such as document delivery, bank runs, and other assigned tasks.
• Support logistics for company activities when required.
• Ensure timely execution of all assigned duties.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.
• Ensure all vehicle documents are valid and up to date including insurance, licenses, and permits.
• Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Reporting & Communication:

• Provide regular updates on vehicle status and any operational issues.
• Escalate emergencies or incidents immediately.
• Maintain clear communication with the HR unit.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certifications:

• Minimum of OND or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Additional driving or safety certifications are an added advantage.

Experience:

• 3 - 5 years of proven experience as a professional or executive driver.
• Experience driving senior executives or management staff is preferred.
• Good knowledge of local routes and road networks.

Skills:
Driving & Safety Skills:

• Strong driving skills with focus on safety and efficiency.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of defensive driving techniques.

Mechanical Awareness:

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify early signs of mechanical issues.

• High level of integrity and discretion.
• Respectful and professional conduct at all times.
• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.

Time Management & Discipline:

• Ability to manage time effectively and maintain strict schedules.
• Punctual and dependable.
