We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales and Marketing Manager

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Sales and Marketing Manager for the Local Market will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales of the company's recycled PET (rPET) products and build brand awareness within the Nigerian market.
  • This role involves identifying and cultivating relationships with local manufacturers, converters, and end-users of rPET, as well as developing and implementing marketing initiatives to promote the benefits and applications of our recycled materials.
  • The manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and establishing the company as a leading supplier of sustainable rPET solutions in Nigeria.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for the local Nigerian market, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Identify and target potential customers, including beverage companies, packaging manufacturers, and other industries that can utilize rPET.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored rPET solutions.
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and after-sales support.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, trade shows, and industry events, to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends in the local rPET market.
  • Collaborate with the production and quality control teams to ensure product availability and meet customer specifications.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management.
  • Monitor and analyze sales and marketing performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Stay abreast of relevant regulations and industry standards related to recycled materials and sustainability in Nigeria.

KPI

  • Local Sales Revenue Growth: Achieve a minimum 70 % increase in local sales revenue of rPET products within the current year.
  • New Customer Acquisition (Local): Acquire minimum 20 new local customers for rPET products within the next 12 months- (B2B).
  • Customer Satisfaction Score (Local): Achieve an average customer satisfaction score of 50% from local clients, as measured by regular feedback surveys.
  • Market Share Growth (Local): Increase the company's market share within the identified target segments of the Nigerian rPET market by 10% within the fiscal year
  • Lead Conversion Rate (Local): Improve the conversion rate of marketing-generated leads from the local market to closed sales by 15% within the next year

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA is a plus.Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in sales and marketing roles, preferably in the recycling or environmental industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, strategies, and techniques, with a track record of driving business growth and achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers, negotiate effectively, and influence decision-making.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans to capitalize on them.
  • Leadership capabilitieswith experience managing sales teams and driving performance through coaching, motivation, and goal-setting.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office suite, and digital marketing tools.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms is desirable.Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
