Job Summary
We are currently looking to engage a highly competent and result-oriented Coordinator, Operations and Administration (Lagos) with strong personal & professional integrity to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
The Coordinator, Operations and Administration will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and professional day-to-day running of the Nile University Nile Online Lagos Branch.
The role serves as the central operational hub of the branch, coordinating administrative functions, student-facing services, facility management, vendor relations, and logistical support to enable seamless delivery of online and hybrid academic programmes from the Lagos location.
He/she is expected to:
Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the Nile Online Lagos Branch, ensuring alignment with university-wide policies, procedures, and service standards.
Act as a communication bridge between Lagos-based students and staff and the main campus teams, ensuring that information, updates, and requests flow accurately and promptly in both directions.
Coordinate with the HR Department on staff-related administrative matters at the branch, including leave records, attendance monitoring, and onboarding documentation for Lagos-based staff.
Support external stakeholder engagement at the branch level, including receiving official visitors, coordinating meetings, and maintaining the professional image of the University at all times.
Assist with the planning and execution of branch-level events, including student activities, open days, partner visits, and promotional activities for Nile Online programmes.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational, administrative, and logistical matters at the Lagos branch, liaising with relevant departments at the Abuja main campus as required.
Maintain an organized, functional, and professionally presented branch environment, ensuring that facilities, equipment, and common areas are always fit for purpose.
Manage student registration, enrolment documentation, and record-keeping at the branch level, ensuring all records are accurate, up to date, and consistent with the central HRIS and student management systems.
Coordinate with the main campus Academic Affairs and Student Services teams to ensure that Lagos-based students receive consistent access to academic support, examination scheduling, and results processing.
Support the onboarding of new students at the Lagos branch, including orientation, ID issuance, system access, and familiarization with Nile Online platforms.
Prepare administrative reports, activity summaries, and operational updates for submission to the Head of Branch and relevant Abuja-based stakeholders.
Manage vendor relationships at the branch level, including office supplies, facility maintenance contractors, security, and cleaning services, ensuring value for money and timely service delivery.
Coordinate with the IT and Learning Technology teams to ensure that all technology infrastructure at the branch — including internet connectivity, video conferencing equipment, computers, and LMS access points — is functional and promptly serviced when required.
Serve as the first-line reporter of facility and IT issues, logging incidents and following up to ensure timely resolution in collaboration with the relevant support teams.
Prepare and submit periodic operational and administrative reports to the Head of Branch covering student numbers, facility status, vendor performance, budget utilization, and any operational issues.
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
Minimum of Four (4) years’ relevant experience in an administrative, operations coordination, or office management role, preferably within a university, educational institution, or professional services organization.
Demonstrated experience managing student-facing services, office operations, or multi-stakeholder coordination in a structured institutional environment is an advantage.
Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, vendors, and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, take initiative, and manage the branch’s day-to-day operations responsibly.
Familiarity with Lagos-based operations and the local regulatory environment is an added advantage.
Possession of, or active progress towards, a relevant professional qualification in administration or management (e.g., ICSAN, NIM) is an advantage.
