We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title:  Account Manager (Retail & Hospitality)

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • As Account Manager, Retail & Hospitality, you will own Arnergy's revenue growth within one of
  • Nigeria's most power-dependent commercial segments.
  • Hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, and retail chains run operations around the clock — and every hour of generator downtime translates directly into lost revenue, spoiled inventory, and customer attrition.
  • You will position Arnergy's solar PV and battery storage solutions as the definitive answer to that pain, converting diesel dependency into clean, reliable, and cost-predictable energy.
  • You will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and stakeholder engagement through to deal closure and post-installation account management, building a portfolio of accounts that deliver recurring revenue and strong referrals within the vertical.

Responsibilities
Vertical-Specific Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify, target, and develop new accounts across hotels, restaurants, QSR chains, supermarkets, retail outlets, and event centres in your territory.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities covering individual sites
  • installations and multi-site rollout programmes for retail and hospitality chains.
  • Engage and influence key decision-makers: Facility Managers, Hotel GMs, Operations Directors, and Owners/CFOs in the hospitality and retail space.
  • Position Arnergy's financing options effectively for operators who are sensitive to high upfront costs
  • capital expenditure.

Solution Scoping & Proposal Development:

  • Coordinate site visits and energy audits for prospects, working with the Technical Services team to translate audit findings into commercially compelling proposals.
  • Tailor proposals to the specific operational profile of each customer
  • Develop total cost of ownership (TCO) comparisons and diesel savings models to anchor value conversations in financial terms.
  • Present and defend proposals at the executive and board level, adapting technical content for non-technical audiences.

Account Management & Revenue Growth:

  • Own post-installation relationships within your account portfolio, ensuring high satisfaction,
  • system performance visibility, and repeat or upsell opportunities.
  • Monitor contract renewals, maintenance schedules, and warranty milestones for key accounts, coordinating proactively with O&M and CX teams.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within accounts — additional sites, increased system capacity, or new product adoption.
  • Manage and resolve customer escalations with urgency, acting as the senior commercial point of contact for your accounts.

Reporting & Market Intelligence:

  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly pipeline and revenue reports via Arnergy's CRM and reporting platforms.
  • Track market trends in the hospitality and retail sector — new hotel openings, estate developments, chain expansions — and translate them into proactive prospecting activity.
  • Provide market feedback on pricing, competitor activity, and customer objections to inform product and sales strategy.

Requirements
You'll be a good fit for this role if you have the experience below:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 2 years selling to hospitality or retail sector accounts in Nigeria.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a solution-selling or consultative sales environment.
  • Strong commercial understanding of the hospitality and retail industry — operational rhythms, procurement processes, and financial decision-making structures.
  • Experience selling capital equipment, energy solutions, facilities services, or technology to hotels, restaurants, or retail chains is highly preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and proposal writing skills; comfortable engaging at the GM, CFO, and board level.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting platforms.

We would also like to see:

  • Existing relationships with hotel groups, retail chains, or QSR operators.
  • Understanding of solar PV, battery storage, or energy management systems (full technical training will be provided).
  • Experience with asset financing sales models.
  • A genuine hunter mentality — self-driven, resilient, and motivated by closing deals
