We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Logistics Lead - Oil Response

Location: Delta and Rivers

Key Responsibilities
Logistics Planning & Coordination:

• Develop and execute logistics plans for spill response operations, including transportation, staging, warehousing, and resource deployment.
• Coordinate the movement of equipment, vessels, vehicles, and personnel to and from incident sites.
• Establish and manage staging areas, command posts, and temporary operational bases.

Emergency Response Support:

• Serve in logistics leadership roles within the Incident Command System (ICS), such as
• Logistics Section Chief or Support Branch Director.
• Ensure timely delivery of supplies, fuel, food, water, PPE, and other operational necessities.
• Support demobilization planning, including equipment return, decontamination, and inventory reconciliation.

Resource & Supply Chain Management:

• Oversee procurement, inventory control, and distribution of response equipment and consumables.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, usage rates, and replenishment needs.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for transportation, rentals, and specialized support.

Equipment & Facility Readiness:

• Ensure logistics facilities, warehouses, and storage yards are organized and maintained.
• Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment availability and readiness.
• Support pre‑deployment inspections and post‑operation equipment processing.

Safety, Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure all logistics activities comply with safety standards, environmental regulations, and organizational policies.
• Conduct risk assessments for transportation, staging, and field logistics operations.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including manifests, delivery records, inventory logs, and ICS forms.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Supervise logistics personnel, drivers, warehouse staff, and contracted service providers.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance oversight for logistics team members.
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Planning, Finance, and external agencies during incidents.

Continuous Improvement:

• Evaluate logistics performance after drills and incidents to identify improvement opportunities.
• Recommend enhancements to supply chain processes, equipment layout, and resource management.
• Contribute to readiness assessments and capability development initiatives.
