We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Facility Manager with a strong Electrical Engineering background to oversee the maintenance, safety, and efficient operation of facilities across two locations (Lagos and Abuja) for a dynamic fashion house.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all technical systems, infrastructure, and physical environments support seamless daily operations, production activities, and retail experiences.
This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple sites effectively.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of both facilities, ensuring optimal functionality of all systems
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
Ensure all electrical systems, equipment, and installations are operating efficiently
Monitor facility performance and address issues proactively to avoid downtime
Electrical Systems Management:
Manage and maintain all electrical infrastructure including power supply, wiring, lighting, and distribution systems
Supervise installation, repair, and upgrade of electrical systems and equipment
Ensure uninterrupted power supply through effective management of generators, inverters, and backup systems
Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement lasting solutions
Health, Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across both locations
Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments
Implement and enforce safety procedures and emergency response plans
Maintain proper documentation for compliance and audits
Vendor & Contractor Management:
Source, evaluate, and manage external vendors and service providers
Supervise contractors for maintenance, repairs, and installations
Negotiate service contracts and ensure quality service delivery
Monitor vendor performance and cost efficiency
Budgeting & Cost Control:
Prepare and manage facility maintenance budgets
Track expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
Optimize energy usage and operational costs
Space & Infrastructure Management:
Ensure facilities are well-maintained, organized, and aligned with brand standards
Support showroom, production, and office space requirements
Coordinate space planning and layout adjustments where necessary
Team Coordination & Reporting:
Supervise facility staff and technicians across both locations
Provide regular reports on facility status, maintenance activities, and improvements
Collaborate with management to support operational and expansion plans
Requirements
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
4–6 years’ experience in facility management or a similar role
Proven experience managing electrical systems in commercial or production environments
Experience managing multiple locations is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies:
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and facility operations
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Good vendor management and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
Strong communication and reporting skills
Technical Expertise:
Knowledge of generators, inverters, and backup power systems
Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Basic knowledge of HVAC systems is an added advantage
Adaptable to a fast-paced, multi-location environment
