Job Title: Junior Account Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Account Officer to join our finance team.
• The successful candidate will provide crucial support to the accounting department by assisting in the management of financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between company records and bank statements.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, spreadsheets, and statements as directed by senior accountants.
• Help monitor and manage company expenses and petty cash.
• Provide administrative support to the finance department, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
• Liaise with vendors and clients regarding billing and payment inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned by the line manager or senior finance staff.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role (internship experience will be considered).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is an added advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates with immediate availablity will be given priority

Salary
N200,000 per month.
