Job Overview
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who not only plans and tracks projects but also actively participates in code test validation and quality assurance processes.
You will bridge development, QA, and instructional teams while ensuring that every software deliverable meets both functional and pedagogical quality standards.
This role is ideal for someone with a technical background who wants to stay hands-on with code reviews, test scripts, and bug triage while managing the project lifecycle.
Define project scope, timelines, and priorities across features like learning modules, quizzes, video content, and platform improvements
Run Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and keep the team aligned
Track progress using tools like Jira, ClickUp, or Asana, and provide clear updates on risks and dependencies
Work with product and curriculum teams to ensure requirements are clear and buildable.
Quality & Testing Oversight:
Ensure that features meet agreed acceptance criteria before release Support QA by validating key user flows (e.g., login, lesson access, quiz submissions, video playback)
Review test coverage at a high level ensuring critical paths are tested, not necessarily writing tests yourself
Coordinate testing cycles and follow up on bugs to resolution
Lead basic bug triage sessions with developers and QA to prioritize and close issues
Help define simple, practical release criteria (e.g., no critical bugs, core flows working as expected)
Working with Engineering
Collaborate with developers to ensure features are testable and well-defined before development starts
Be comfortable reviewing pull requests from a functional perspective (not deep code critique, but does it solve the problem?)
Occasionally run builds locally or follow test steps when needed
Ensure documentation (requirements, test cases, release notes) is clear and up to date.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Act as the bridge between engineering, product, and instructional teams
Help non-technical stakeholders understand what’s feasible and what isn’t
Support basic UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with internal teams before releases Technical Understanding (Practical, Not Theoretical)
Basic understanding of frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React) and how web applications work
Familiarity with testing concepts (unit tests, integration tests, manual QA)
Comfortable using tools like Jira, ClickUp, or similar
Basic Git awareness—you should be able to follow PR discussions and understand what’s being changed.
Experience
3 - 5 years’ experience as a Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, QA Lead, or similar role in a tech environment
Experience working with product and engineering teams on web or mobile applications
Nice to Have:
Experience working on EdTech or content-driven platforms
Exposure to video-based platforms or LMS system
Familiarity with tools like Cypress, Jest, or similar (at a coordination level)
Awareness of accessibility and performance considerations.
What We Offer

Flexible work hours + remote-friendly policy.
The satisfaction of knowing your QA work directly impacts thousands of students across Africa.
Application Closing Date
