We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title:  Primary and Secondary Teacher

Location: Port Harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• A Teacher is responsible for educating students in a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment. They plan lessons, deliver instruction, assess student progress, and help develop the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student in line with curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that align with state/national curriculum standards and school guidelines
• Use a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
• Integrate technology, hands-on activities, and real-world examples to make learning relevant and engaging
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of gifted, special education, and ESL students

Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring:

• Design and administer tests, quizzes, projects, and assignments to evaluate student understanding
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work
• Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and performance
• Analyze assessment data to adjust teaching strategies and identify students needing intervention

Classroom Management & Student Development;

• Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Set clear expectations for behavior and apply consistent discipline strategies
• Foster students' social-emotional skills, critical thinking, and independence
• Serve as a role model for respect, responsibility, and lifelong learning

Communication & Collaboration:

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress, behavior, and upcoming events
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and professional development sessions
• Collaborate with other teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success
• Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives

Administrative Duties:

• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and reports as required
• Supervise students during non-classroom times such as lunch, recess, or field trips
• Maintain classroom resources, equipment, and displays
• Comply with school policies, child protection guidelines, and educational regulations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 2 - 3 years work experience. 

Salary
N60,000 - N100,000 per month.
