Job Title: Project Director

Location: Lagos

Role Overview

• The Project Director will provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the planning, execution and delivery of large-scale construction and real estate development projects.
• The role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery:

• Provide end-to-end leadership for multiple projects from concept through completion.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines and resource requirements.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and in line with quality standards.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

• Align project delivery with organisational strategy and growth objectives.
• Lead feasibility assessments, project structuring and investment planning.
• Drive value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives across projects.

Financial & Commercial Management:

• Oversee project budgets, cost control and financial performance.
• Monitor project profitability, cash flow and financial risks.
• Review and approve major expenditures, contracts and procurement decisions.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management:

• Manage relationships with clients, investors, consultants, contractors and regulatory bodies.
• Provide regular updates and reports to executive management and the Board.
• Lead negotiations on major contracts, partnerships and project agreements.

Risk, Compliance & Governance:

• Identify and manage project risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards and company policies.
• Promote strong governance and internal controls across all projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.
• A Master’s degree (MBA or related) is an advantage.
• Professional certifications (e.g., COREN, RICS or equivalent) is an advantage while PMP is mandatory.
• 10 – 15 years of experience in project management within construction, engineering, or real estate.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects successfully.
