Job Title: Collections / Reconciliation Officer – Accounts Receivable

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Collections / Reconciliation Officer to manage accounts receivable processes, ensure timely debt recovery, and maintain accurate financial records through effective reconciliation.
• The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on experience in collections, receivables management, and account reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
• Follow up on overdue accounts through calls, emails, and official correspondence.
• Prepare aging reports and provide regular updates on receivables status.
• Reconcile customer accounts, bank statements, and payment records.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies relating to invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Maintain accurate records of collections activities and customer interactions.
• Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to resolve billing disputes promptly.
• Prepare monthly accounts receivable and reconciliation reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
• Support cash flow management by improving collection efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years proven experience in collections, receivables, or reconciliation roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and reconciliation procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets/deadlines.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or service-based industries.
• Knowledge of credit control and debt recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with audit and compliance procedures.

Salary
N300,000 per month.
