We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Site Engineer (Aluminium Curtainwall systems and Facade Installation)

Location: Lagos

Position Summary

• The Site Engineer is required to supervise and coordinate aluminum architectural systems installation on construction sites, ensuring quality standards, project specifications, and safety protocols are maintained throughout the execution phase.

Key Responsibilities
Installation Supervision & Quality Control:

• Oversee installation of aluminum curtainwall systems, windows, doors, and facades on site
• Ensure installations comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, and technical standards
• Conduct quality inspections at each installation phase
• Identify and resolve installation defects or deviations from specifications
• Coordinate with project managers on installation progress and challenges

Site Coordination & Planning:

• Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings for aluminum installation requirements
• Plan installation sequences and coordinate with other trades on site
• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available for installation teams
• Manage site logistics for aluminum systems delivery and storage
• Coordinate site access, scaffolding, and lifting equipment requirements

Technical Problem-Solving:

• Resolve on-site technical issues related to aluminum systems installation
• Provide installation guidance to site crews and subcontractors
• Recommend solutions for site conditions that differ from design assumptions
• Interface with design team and head office on technical clarifications
• Ensure proper waterproofing, sealing, and weather protection methods

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain daily site reports documenting installation progress
• Track material consumption and coordinate requisitions with production
• Document site conditions, variations, and as-built changes
• Prepare progress reports for project management
• Maintain site records, inspection reports, and quality documentation

Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce safety protocols for installation activities
• Conduct site safety briefings and toolbox talks
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
• Coordinate safety inspections and regulatory approvals
• Maintain safe working conditions for installation crews

Skills & Qualifications
Essential:

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years site engineering experience in construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under site conditions
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities
• Willingness to work on construction sites with physical demands

Preferred:

• Experience with aluminum curtainwall, window, door, or facade installations
• Knowledge of aluminum systems installation techniques and standards
• Familiarity with waterproofing and building envelope systems
• Experience coordinating with multiple trades on construction sites
• Understanding of construction sequencing and site logistics

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 per month.
