About the role

• Our client, a fast-growing digital banking institution, is seeking a driven and commercially minded Branch / Operations Manager to lead its Benue State operations.
• This is a high-impact role that blends strategic oversight with hands-on day-to-day management, sitting at the intersection of customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth.
• You will be the face of the institution in the state and the engine behind its service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full branch operations cycle, ensuring compliance with internal policies, CBN regulations, and operational standards.
• Drive customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction across digital and in-person touchpoints.
• Lead, coach, and manage a team to meet performance targets and service delivery goals.
• Manage branch P&L, monitor financial performance, and contribute to deposit mobilisation and revenue targets.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities within the Benue State market.
• Coordinate with head office on escalations, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
• Champion the adoption of digital banking products and channels among customers and staff.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of banking or financial services experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Solid understanding of CBN regulations, AML/KYC compliance, and banking operations best practices.
• Experience in a digital bank, microfinance bank, fintech, or technology-forward financial institution is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial awareness and proven ability to grow market share and deepen customer relationships.
• Familiarity with Benue State and its commercial landscape is a strong advantage.
