Job Title: Sales Representative

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Scope

  • The Sales Representative at Tawona Group is responsible for driving revenue growth across our portfolio—including Tawona Workspaces, Foods, and Gym—through proactive outreach, relationship-building, and strategic sales activities.
  • This role combines face-to-face marketing, digital outreach, and collaborative campaign development to generate new leads, convert prospects into customers, and maintain high standards of service excellence.

Reporting Relationship:

  • You will report to the Head of Marketing

Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing Outreach:

  • Market all Tawona group products and services (Workspaces, Foods, Gym) through in-person visits (minimum three times per week), cold calls, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Generate and execute weekly call plans and call lists; track follow-ups and report on conversion progress.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposal discussions to prospective clients.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers within target organizations to cultivate profitable relationships.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and partners via regular communication and engagement activities.
  • Understand customer needs, preferences, and expectations to provide personalized service and support.
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Capture and forward upselling and cross-selling opportunities to the broader sales team.

Collaboration & Strategy:

  • Work closely with other sales team members and the Social Media Manager to develop and refine sales strategies and digital campaigns.
  • Share market insights and customer feedback to inform promotional messaging and product development.
  • Coordinate multi-channel efforts to generate leads and convert them into sales.

Administrative Support & Reporting:

  • Schedule and document sales meetings, take accurate notes, and maintain the company’s correspondence.
  • Prepare regular sales reports—outlining outreach activities, pipeline status, and achievement of targets—for review by management.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all customer interactions, order details, and follow-up actions in the CRM system.

Equipment & Material Handling:

  • Handle all Tawona marketing equipment, devices, and promotional materials with utmost care.
  • Ensure collateral (brochures, samples, banners) is stocked, organized, and distributed as needed for events and client visits.

Quality Assurance & Service Excellence:

  • Promote high-quality sales, supply, and customer service processes in every interaction.
  • Adhere to Tawona Foods’ standards and guidelines to consistently deliver professional, on-brand experiences.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by your supervisor or management to support the success of the sales function and the broader organization.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of sales experience, ideally in food service, hospitality, or retail environments.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales target.

Technical Skills, Behaviour & Competencies:

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for tracking leads and customer interactions.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email marketing tools.
  • Familiarity with social media advertising platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and order-management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills; able to craft persuasive pitches and clear follow-up messages.
  • Empathetic listener with ability to establish trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Comfortable with rejection; adapts quickly to changing priorities and maintains a positive attitude.
  • Strong time-management and planning skills; able to juggle multiple leads and tasks simultaneously.
  • Proactive in identifying customer pain points and proposing effective solutions.
  • Collaborative mindset; shares insights and supports colleagues to achieve collective goals.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily field-based role requiring regular travel to client sites, events, and community outreach locations.
  • Office time for meetings, reporting, and coordination with internal teams.
  • Fast-paced, target-driven atmosphere where adaptability and enthusiasm are key.
  • Occasional evening or weekend events may be required to engage prospects and attend promotional activities.
