Job Title: Operations Manager - E-Commerce & Retail Operations

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Managing Director

Position Summary

• The Operations Manager will oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of the company’s e-commerce platform and physical retail/logistics activities, ensuring seamless order fulfillment, inventory management, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• The role requires a results-driven professional with strong experience in digital commerce operations, supply chain coordination, warehouse/last-mile delivery, and retail process management.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:

• Manage end-to-end operations across online sales channels and physical locations
• Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure smooth coordination between sales, logistics, warehousing, and customer service teams

E-Commerce Operations:

• Oversee order processing, fulfillment, returns, and delivery performance
• Monitor website/app operational workflows to ensure accuracy and speed
• Collaborate with IT/marketing teams to optimize platform performance and customer journey

Inventory & Supply Chain Management:

• Manage stock levels across warehouses and physical outlets
• Implement inventory control systems to minimize stock-outs and overstocking
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely replenishment

Logistics & Fulfillment:

• Supervise warehousing, dispatch, and last-mile delivery operations.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with logistics partners
• Track KPIs such as delivery time, fulfillment accuracy, and costs.

Performance & Cost Management:

• Develop operational budgets and control costs
• Analyze data to improve productivity and margins.
• Prepare regular operational performance reports

Team Management:

• Lead, train, and motivate operations staff
• Set performance targets and conduct reviews
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

• Order fulfillment speed & accuracy

• Logistics cost efficiency
• Customer satisfaction levels

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in operations management within E-commerce, retail, logistics, or omnichannel businesses
• Proven experience managing, warehousing & fulfillment, inventory systems, online order workflows
• Strong understanding of last-mile delivery operations (especially in urban markets).
• MBA or professional certifications in operations/supply chain are an added advantage
