Job Title: Head, Finance and Treasury

Job Summary

• We need a strategic finance and treasury leader who can ensure our financial health, optimise our balance sheet, and provide clarity that drives sound decision-making.

The Role

• The Head, Finance and Treasury will lead all finance, accounting, and treasury functions.
• You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, liquidity management, investment strategy, and regulatory financial compliance, serving as a trusted financial advisor to the executive team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements in line with IFRS
• Develop and manage the bank's annual budget, forecasts, and financial performance monitoring
• Oversee treasury operations including liquidity management, fund placement, and investment portfolio management
• Manage the bank's asset and liability structure to optimise returns and manage interest rate risk
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory financial reporting to the CBN, NDIC, FIRS, and other bodies
• Partner with business units to provide financial analysis and decision support
• Lead the finance and treasury team, driving capability development and operational efficiency
• Oversee external auditor relationships and coordinate year-end audit processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in finance and treasury within a bank or financial services firm
• At least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, CBN financial reporting requirements, and banking financial management principles
• Proven experience in treasury operations, ALM, and balance sheet management
• Mandatory professional qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CFA
• Proficiency in financial management systems and advanced data analysis tools
• Exceptional attention to detail, strategic financial thinking, and executive communication skills.
