Job Title: Sous Chef (Restaurant)

Location: Ajah, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations.
• The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality food preparation, maintain hygiene standards, and supervise kitchen staff to deliver excellent dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menu items
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during food preparation
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
• Monitor food quality and kitchen hygiene standards
• Manage inventory, stock levels, and kitchen supplies
• Ensure proper food storage and minimize wastage
• Step in to lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Cook in a restaurant
• Strong knowledge of local and continental dishes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Culinary training or certification is an added advantage

Working Conditions:

• 6 days a week (shift-based schedule)
• Must be willing to reside in provided accommodation.

Benefit

• Salary: N200,000 per month.
