We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Safety Officer (Offshore)

Location: Akwa Ibom
Job type: Full-time

Job Description

• Implement and monitor site safety policies, procedures, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
• Ensure workers comply with safety requirements, use of PPE, and safe work methods.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and prepare detailed reports.
• Conduct safety inductions, training, and toolbox talks for site personnel.
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, and inspection records.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure all activities are carried out safely within project timelines.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2–4 years experience in site or industrial safety management.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and hazard control practices.
• Certification in safety training (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to safety compliance.
• Offshore travel documents valid for at least one year(BOSIET,OSP,SBC,Medicals, TB, A&D, Audiometry).
