We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Certified Rigger (Offshore)

Location: Akwa Ibom

Job Description

• Perform rigging, lifting, and hoisting operations safely in accordance with approved lifting plans.
• Inspect lifting gear, slings, shackles, and rigging equipment before use.
• Assist crane operators during lifting, positioning, and placement of loads.
• Select appropriate rigging methods based on load weight, shape, and center of gravity.
• Ensure proper signaling and communication during lifting operations.
• Identify unsafe conditions and stop lifting activities when hazards are present.
• Comply with site safety procedures, lifting regulations, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Valid rigger certification or license from a recognized authority (required).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a rigger in construction or industrial projects.
• Good knowledge of lifting techniques, load calculations, and rigging equipment.
• Ability to read and understand lifting plans, load charts, and hand signals.
• Familiarity with cranes, hoists, and heavy lifting operations.
• Physically fit to perform manual handling and work in demanding site conditions.
• Strong safety awareness, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Offshore travel documents valid for at least one year (BOSIET, OSP, SBC, Medicals, TB, A&D, Audiometry)
